Learn our Story
HRS INC started as an idea back in 2017. An Idea that has brought us half way across the country to Chicago, IL. HRS INC began as Hunter's Fine Jewelry, a small retail jewelry store located in Rutland, Vermont. Our corporate name HRS INC, carried on after we closed our retail store in June 2025. The goal of our company has always been to get to the source for fine color and that was accomplished back in 2023. Throughout those next two years our company was both retail and a partial focus on wholesale. In 2024, we were able to grow our wholesale division to over 30% of our companies annual revenue. In 2025, it was time to take the leap and close our successful retail store to focus on wholesale exclusively.
Hunter R. Seymour, Owner of H.R.S., INC. has had a fascination for gemstones since he was just 10 years old. The sparkle, the idea that something so small can have such tremendous value. Over the 6-7 year retail career, Hunter focused on providing his customers with Rare, Unique and fine gemstone jewelry pieces. The goal was always to provide our clients with a quality piece at a fair and reasonable price. Hunter has close relationships with not only buyers but also brokers, cutters and miners in Sri Lanka, Thailand, Colombia and the USA. These relationships are the backbone to our wholesale company. We are able to source gemstones from around the world and bring to you and your clients here in the USA. Over the years, our inventory has grown to be able to provide a diverse selection to help you source what your client is looking for.
After spending 6-7 years as a retail store owner, Hunter learned a tremendous amount of what it is like to run a retail store and its HARD. Inventory, the cornerstone of a jewelry store is expensive. Inventory in your retail jewelry store can be the success or the DEATH of your store. If you don't have the right inventory it doesn't sell, if you don't have enough, customers won't return because they don't see a selection. One of the main focuses you will hear over and over again throughout our company is that we "HELP YOU SELL MORE COLOR"! That's true, we have designed programs to help our retail partners cover the shortfalls the the industry isn't supporting. We offer programs to help you close more sales on colored gemstones jewelry.
The Classic Gem Memo Service
We use the term "program" sort of loosely. It allows us to section our company into categories that help to describe to retailers what we do!
This program is the exact same program many memo houses provide. It starts by contacting us for a loose gemstone request. We will search our inventory for pieces that match your request and send those out to you. You will have time to show your client and make a design as to which stone works best for the design.

EZ 7Day Memo:
Our standard memo term on a loose gemstone is 7-days. It starts from the day your receive the stone to your store and its flexible! If you need the stone an extra few days no problem. The key to success with working together is COMMUNICATION. The entire world works better with great communication. Just shoot us a message or give us a call if you need the stone longer. We typically don't follow up on quotes until the 10th day.
The Birthstone Collections
This is a new program for our company that we have worked on for several months to create a basics ramp that sells in retail stores. By Basics we mean stud earrings and pendants. Currently, our program consists of either yellow or white gold and round 5mm gemstones.
We have two different ramps that fit easily into your showcase featuring removable sections to easily pull the live jewelry at night. All of the birthstone months January-December are included to provide you with an easy sales solution for that customer that needs a gift but isn't sure what to get any may not be looking to spend thousands today.
Our program allows you to easily pick up new clients with low entry level pricing for a quality piece of jewelry that will last for generations because of its quality and simplicity being a staple in everyone's jewelry box.
